Cotriguaçu Cooperativa Central, founded in 1975, is headquartered in the municipality of São Miguel do Oeste, in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. On December 13, 1975, Cooperativa Central Regional Iguaçu Ltda. (COTRIGUAÇU) was officially established, marking a significant milestone in their collective journey toward progress and collaboration.
On March 4, 1977, the official inauguration ceremony took place, attended by His Excellency Ernesto Geisel, President of the Republic, alongside Paraná Governor Jayme Canet Júnior and several high-ranking officials.
In 1987, the Port Terminal expanded its grain and bran storage capacity to 150,000 static tons.
In 1999, it obtained ISO 9000 Certification from DNV – Det Norske Veritas – a certification company originally from Norway.
In 2004, significant investments were made to enhance the Port Terminal’s infrastructure. Key upgrades included a second shipping line with a capacity of 1,500 t/h, a flow scale of 1,500 t/h, and a new railway siding.
